I recently had the chance to try out Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant, and I have to say, I was impressed. This highly effective product went on smoothly, absorbing quickly to start fighting blackheads and breakouts from the get-go. It swept away dead skin cells, not just on the surface, but deep inside the pores as well, leaving my skin looking clearer and more radiant.
Containing Salicylic Acid, a key ingredient known for its ability to shed dead skin, this product is efficient in reducing breakouts and blackheads. It also has soothing properties, which I loved as it cared for my skin whilst doing powerful exfoliation. And don’t worry about the ‘2016-02’ on the package, that’s just an article number, not an expiry date!
Although it advises to use twice daily, start off slow, maybe using every other day until your skin adjusts and then work up to twice-daily application. And here’s a tip: always follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen in the day or your regular routine at night.
This product specialises in combination to oily skin types. The liquid texture allows for faster absorption, getting deep into pores, blackheads, and pimples. It’s worth noting though that this particular product is now discontinued by the manufacturer. So, if you come across it and this sounds like your type of skincare, grab it while you can!
